How do I love what I love? (Present in the World - Ang Kia Yee)

An astrology workshop on love, desire, and conflict

Love is a vast communal experience which touches each of us differently. Our individual experience of it can feel dense, nerve-wracking, gnarly, intoxicating, mundane, sweet, gentle, redeeming, completing, confusing, liberating, infinite.

In this workshop, you are invited to reflect upon how you love. We draw upon the expansive, macro lens of astrology to look more closely at our dispositions, perspectives, approaches, strategies, goals, styles, and challenges when it comes to love. We take our natal charts as guiding maps for how we could expand, shift, or sharpen our approaches to love—continuing to lay the groundwork for more intentional and meaningful connections with others.

    • What do I love? How do I express love?

    • What do I want in love? How do I express my desires?

    • How do I communicate dissatisfaction and disagreement? How do I fight? How could I fight in a loving way?

    • Very basic natal chart overview: planets, signs, houses

    • Identifying & reading basic aspects (relationships) between planets

    • Venus in Signs & Houses

    • Moon in Signs & Houses

    • Mars in Signs & Houses

  • Astrology enthusiasts, artists, spiritual groups, general public

  • $35 for 3h session

  • For this workshop, the scope of connections includes all intimate, loving, one-on-one relationships in your life.

Due to the limited time, this workshop is meant to seed meaningful questions and intentions for you to bring home and dwell on in your own time. We will not be able to go very deep and linger much together. We will not be going into synastry or compatibility. We will focus on the self by way of the natal chart.

This workshop forms one of a pair of mirror workshops on love. Its mirror, How do we love what we love?, will be offered in the future.
