School Programmes

Taiji x Theatre Immersion

Taiji is not just for old people! Students are surprised seeing our young and energetic team passionately sharing more about the principles and philosophy of this rich cultural martial art. Using engaging theatre games and insightful knowledge, we host programmes to expose students to Taiji and chinese culture.

Fun and Enriching

Our goal is impart the art of Taiji to the next generation. We want to pay attention especially to “太极” - which can be translated as the “Great Extremes” - as a philosophy of Yin and Yang, of balance and of self-cultivation.

Workshop Questions

- What exactly is Taiji - An internal martial art or a philosophy?

- What can we learn about chinese philosophies through bone oracle script (甲骨文), the most ancient form of chinese characters?

- How can we use the principles of Taiji to create art?

- What is Yin and Yang? How is it applicable to our everyday lives?

Objectives

- To make Chinese wisdoms relevant and accessible to students of this generation.

- To plant the seeds of interest in traditional arts and culture.

- To foster the habits of self-cultivation and mindfulness.

- To inspire artistic expressions that are in line with confucian values.
